As a healthcare professional I have several thoughts about the Wuhan lab issue. 1. In the beginning of our covid outbreak, historical sourcing of other similar outbreaks are primarily zoological in origin so that assumption was logical. 2. By the time we knew anything, (at which time we also knew China had deliberately engaged in deceptive practices but to an unknown degree) there was no time or need to investigate origins. Effective mitigation stategies and treatment were the only responses that any institution had time to investigate. Source of origin would not have changed anything. 3. The nearly two decades of Conservative Inc relentlessly spreading non factual conspiracies about anything from birth certificates to some vague and purposely obtuse interpretation of Constitional liberties from bakers to guns leads to well warranted skepticism of nearly everything they promote, especially if it contradicts previous knowledge by the "evil" experts. All that being said, yes, we do need to know origin and the level of deception from China, with appropriate consequences imposed by the global community. We are are only just now getting the breathing room to investigate, despite the pandemic still ravaging much of the globe. As far as Conservative Inc getting something right for a change, even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut.
