The ongoing acts of violence and discrimination for reasons of race, ethnicity, disability, gender etc. sometimes leave one feeling that there’s just no point.....it keeps repeating no matter what. But as discouraging and exhausting as it is, this must be fought.
I think there's a ton of work to be done, but I wouldn't agree that reform is impossible. Policing in 2021 is much, much better than it was 50 years ago. But with incremental change comes increased expectations, and everyone having a camera in his or her pocket means we can see much more of what's going on.
