Bunjurrrrr, ya cheese’ eating…

Like a movie villain played by Robert Englund,1 who keeps coming back to menace you every time you think he’s been destroyed for good, far-right candidate Marine Le Pen is going to get another shot at the title currently held by Emanuel Macron.

I would have been so tempted to vote for Nicolas Dupont-Aignan based on that name alone.

Lefty Jean-Luc Melenchon almost caught Le Pen in the first round but came up just short, which means he won’t get the chance to argue for increased social spending, withdrawal from NATO and the Jews’ collective responsibility for the crucifixion of Christ on the second-round debate stage.

It’s going to be a rematch between the most radical of centrists and a right-wing stalwart who has moderated. That is, she still wants to get rid of all the immigrants but also posts more cat photos on her Instagram.
