Groovy History - Who remembers 'Billy Beer' in 1977? It was promoted by Billy Carter, President Jimmy Carter's younger brother who owned a gas station. It folded after a year but in
Nothing but respect for *my* President.

Let’s get this out of the way first: Hunter Biden is fair game. There’s a long tradition of the media spotlighting Presidents’ embarrassing family members, even while they’re still children.1 Hunter is a grown man who at the very least has cashed in on the association with his famous father, and whether Joe Biden may have pulled some strings to keep him out of trouble with the law is a legitimate subject for reporters to look into. (Whether those who’ve looked into it can be called “reporters” is for another post.)

That said, I’m darned if I know what the point of this was, except cruelty for its own sake. And I’m really scratching my head about what kind of person would think President Biden comes across as anything other than sincere, caring, and legitimately heartbroken:

More evidence that calling child protective services on your political opponents, an idea mooted by Tucker Carlson a while back, is the new SWATting:

Ramirez’s alleged crime, as far as I can tell, is teaching her daughter that Christopher Columbus wasn’t a villain. Not a popular opinion these days, to put it mildly, but not the kind of thing that should come within a million miles of requiring intervention by social workers. If the state is going to get involved with parents teaching ideas to their children, it had better be for something truly hateful and egregious, like raising children to be Nazis, or something that will condemn them to a life of hopelessness and misery, like raising children to be Chicago Bears fans.2
