Seems like he can actually work pretty well with Democrats, too, at least compared with many other Republicans.

On a side note, were you at that convention in 1976? One of the first big political events I remember as a child is the 1983 PC leadership convention, which a Newfoundlander might have won if only he'd studied his French a little harder.

I was 3 in 1976 and had not yet caught the political bug. I always enjoyed my times meeting Crosbie and his book is a great political memoir.
