Misleading, sensational headlines are undermining confidence in COVID-19 vaccines.
Here’s the difference between the New York Times and Tucker Carlson: one is blatantly spreading misinformation about COVID-19, to the point that the White House was compelled to call them out on it. The other wears a lot of bow ties.
Okay, that’s a bit much. The Times, Washington Post and other major media outlets have gotten many things about this pandemic wrong - haven’t we all? - but their reporting has been much more reliable than whatever nonsense Carlson and his pals like Alex Berenson have been promoting.
I emphasize “reporting” and not “headlines,” because some reputable media outlets have absolutely disgraced themselves with attention-grabbing, sensationalistic and misleading headlines in recent days:
“Breakthrough Covid cases are on the rise among the vaccinated,” blares a headline on an NBC News article published Friday.
