When insults backfire

That awkward moment when you give your opponent the best nickname ever

I have nothing to say about Signalgate because (a) Daniel Drezner already said it better than I ever could; (b) no one is getting fired nor suffering any personal nor professional consequences for this; and, (c) we’ll all have forgotten about it by the end of the week after six or seven more scandals and screw-ups which would have ended anyone else’s political careers.
