Since the events of October 7, we the undersigned have watched with alarm as Jewish people have been targeted with insults, threats and even physical attacks at the hands of people who do not share our political, ideological and spiritual beliefs.
Serious concerns about antisemitism, both veiled and explicit, amongst our political enemies have been raised repeatedly in the past, only to be dismissed as the words and actions of just a fringe minority.
These concerns have also been met with blatant whataboutism, as our opponents attempt to turn the tables by cherry-picking isolated incidents of alleged antisemitism amongst those who share our beliefs.
While there are some people professing to be on our team who’ve made comments which some have tried to portray as antisemitic, the very suggestion that these fringe characters - whom, it must be said, you cannot prove aren’t online trolls actively trying discredit us - represent our entire movement is absurd and offensive.
Such deflection is doubly offensive as it has become ever more clear that the opposing tribe is infected, from top to bottom, with dangerous, genocidal hatred of the Jews, as shown by random people on Twitter and TikTok who represent their entire belief system no matter how much their allies insist otherwise.
What’s especially concerning is the fact that our opponents hold almost all political, cultural and economic power.
Even if there exists any antisemitism among our ranks, it has nowhere near the reach and can cause nowhere near as much potential harm as the hatred of Jews which emanates from those whom we have deemed the outgroup.
We who’ve done our own research into the history of antisemitism know that prejudice against the Jewish people is monocausal and that the real danger to Jews always has, and to this very day does, come from these guys over there.
So when you ask us why we post so much on social media about antisemitism from the people whom we’ve always hated, while ignoring or explaining away legitimate criticism of Zionism and Jewish religious practices among our ingroup which you’ve ludicrously tried to present as something dangerous and offensive: that’s why.
Now, more than ever, it is time for all of us to come together and accept that our side is right about everything and the bad guys are called bad guys for a reason.
Signed,
Literally everyone on the internet
