As I set at my desk working and simultaneously waiting for them to get to the fireworks factory, I turned my mind to how former President Donald Trump and his legal team are going to fight these unprecedented criminal charges in court.
(Note: these charges remain unknown to the public as I write this. If it turns out he’s been indicted for involvement in the Gilgo Beach serial killings - at best there’s no more than five, maybe ten percent probability of that - my involvement is subject to change.)
I foresee four possibilities:
Defendant Donald Trump shuts his mouth and listens to the advice of his experienced legal team LOL I almost had myself going there for a second didn’t I
Trump so exasperates his lawyers with his constant outburst and micromanaging and whining that they all quit.
He then hires slightly less experienced and competent counsel and after a while they quit.
Then he keeps on going further and further down the legal power rankings until he’s left with no choice but to get Jim “The Hammer” Shapiro to come out of retirement.
He represents himself and after his conviction, appeals on the basis that he didn’t have competent legal representation.
