I don’t want to write yet another political obituary for Donald J. Trump. I’ve made that mistake before. Again and again and again. In last night’s primary elections, many of his preferred candidates - including the likes of MTG and Ken Paxton, both of whose reactions to the Texas elementary school shooting were pretty much what you’d expect - won their nomination fights. The GOP is still very much Trump’s party.

But the Peach State handed Trump his two most humiliating defeats of this election cycle:

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger will defeat Trump-backed primary challengers, CNN projected Tuesday -- a blow to the former President's efforts to punish them for refusing to help him overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
