You know what fictional character I have absolutely no sympathy for? Charlie Brown.

I know that we’re supposed to feel some sympathy for ol’ Chuck, but I’m sorry: if you keep falling for the same trick over and over, that’s on you.

He really should know better and I, for one, have absolutely nothing but sheer contempt for this fool. Anyone who remains blindly optimistic in the face of repeated disappointment deserves to be pitied at best and mercilessly mocked at worst. These people don’t have the common sense God gave a larder beetle and you shouldn’t listen to them at all.

Anyway, I’d expound on this a little further, but at long last, my Chicago Bears’ season open…
