Summer unofficially begins a week earlier here in Canada, with the Victoria Day long weekend coming to a close.
Of course it rained. Rain and the May 24 weekend: name a more iconic duo. (Here’s one: the “May 24 weekend” not being anywhere close to May 24 on the calendar. It’s a Canadian thing.)
I spent yesterday putting together a new backyard swing, a process which went about as well as Homer Simpson building his barbecue pit. If you’ve never spoken to me in person and wondered what my voice sounds like, now you know, because I’m pretty sure my swearing circumnavigated the globe several times, like the sound of the Krakatoa eruption.
But I still had a better weekend than the President of Iran, so there’s that. I wonder what the Butcher of Tehran’s last words might have been. Maybe something like, “hey, what does this button do?”
