Not everything is an insurrection

Something can be bad or inappropriate without being "terrorism."

Three things I simultaneously believe:

1. Donald Trump is the worst American President of my lifetime, and I dread the possibility of him getting re-elected in 2024.

2. The “Let’s Go Brandon” thing is kind of funny.

3. Commercial airline pilots should not be saying it to passengers.

I agree with Matt Taibbi that liberals getting the vapors about people saying “fuck Joe Biden” - without actually saying “fuck Joe Biden” - is hilariously overwrought and hypocritical. Ever since I was old enough to understand politics, during the Reagan years, I have never seen an American President escape being on the business end of public F-bombs.

That said, an actor saying it at the Oscars is not the same as a pilot saying it to his passengers. Robert De Niro doesn’t have anyone’s life in his hands, Thank God. Many people are nervous enough about flying, and don’t need partisan politics as part of their in-flight entertainment.

I believe the pilot who said this deserves a reprimand at the very least. On Twitter, this apparently makes me soft on terrorism.
