In fact, there have already been deadly vehicle-ramming attacks in Canada, and I fear more to come.
When I woke up after a wild night of New Year’s revelry (and by “revelry” I mean “watching “retro” music videos, oh and by the way videos from the first few years of the Obama Administration are now considered “retro,” and God I’m old) I saw the horrible news about a mass casualty incident on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, with at least ten people dead and dozens wounded.
At first I assumed it had been a mass shooting, and I’m sure I’m not alone.
It turns out that the perpetrator did use some firearms, wounding at least two police officers, but for most of the carnage he used a truck. And the death toll now stands at fifteen:
