Four reasons Trump won't pay $83.3 million
Winning in court is one thing. Actually getting paid is another.
One: Are we sure he even has $83.3 million?
Two: Chances are, this massive damage award in the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial will almost certainly be reduced on appeal.
Such is the way with jury verdicts in high-profile trials.
Although, with this legal prodigy representing him, the appeals court might increase the damage award to $500 bajillion and inflict upon Trump an Australian-style booting.
Three: He just...won't pay. Period.
Simple as that. He will not voluntarily pay a plumb nickel to E. Jean Carroll, regardless of his legal obligations. Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States and presumptive 2024 Presidential nominee for the Republican Party, does not “do” legal obligations.
The party of personal responsibility, ladies and gentlemen!
