Everyone hates defence lawyers until they need one

I’ve been writing a lot about American liberals who’ve suddenly turned into hang-em-high law-and-order types because of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, and abandoned all of their once deeply held principles about fair trials, the presumption of innocence and right to defence counsel.
