When I saw that Rufo (who has broken some legitimate stories about DEI gone wild, mainly by default as mainstream outlets refused to go near the issue while 2020 fever was still contagious) was offering a cash reward for proof that Haitian immigints were eating cats in Springfield, Ohio, I thought the very online right had gone too far even for him, and as a serious journalist he was trying to prove it was a nonsense moral panic.

Alas, my sunny view of human nature tripped me up again.
